Almost 700 sheep stolen from rural farm in Victoria
Police are on the hunt for answers after some 700 sheep were stolen from a farm in Logan in Victoria over the space of four months.
The flock - made up of 197 Merino ewes and 493 white Suffolk Merino cross lambs - are understood to have been snatched from a farm in on Gowar-Logan Road, between October 21 and February 1.
Police say the animals' combined value is in excess of $130,000 and they were in "full wool" at the time of the theft.

Detectives have reason to believe the flock may have since been transported interstate.
The ewes have an identifiable purple tagged clipped to their ears while the lambs have red.
The thieves "would have needed at least two four-decker trucks" if the haul occurred on one occasion.
Portable fencing, as well as the use of sheep dogs, would have been necessary to lure the flock away from the farm, police say.
The animals' owners say they didn't notice the missing sheep due to the fact it had been months since they had conducted a full headcount, but police were notified as soon as they realised.
