Garry McNab

When Garry got a chance to return to 60 Minutes for a second time, he jumped at it.

His journalistic career began in 1988 in his native Scotland, with a junior job on local Dundee newspaper, The Courier. 

After a stint in commercial radio he made the transition to television, spending several years with Sky News in London as a producer and reporter. 

Garry reckons his best ever move was migrating to Australia in 1997. 

For nearly a decade he worked on SBS World News as a senior producer and correspondent.

He then spent five years at the Nine Network as a producer with 60 Minutes and A Current Affair, before being appointed chief of staff of Dateline on SBS. 

At the start of 2014 he returned to the Nine Network and 60 Minutes. 

Throughout his career, Garry has covered a multitude of big and breaking stories, from war to popular culture. 

He has been awarded a United Nations Australia Media Peace Prize, has twice been nominated for a Walkley Award and has also been nominated for a Logie.
