A nostalgic look back 100 years of Kellogg's in Australia
Kellogg's has today celebrated 100 years of providing breakfast cereal to Australia.
It started in a small building in Sydney in 1924 and has grown to produce 42 million kilograms of cereal every year.
'When you wake up this morning and enjoy your bowl of Kellogg's cereal, know that there have been one hundred years of Aussies doing the same," Australia and New Zealand managing director Anthony Holme said.
Let's take a look back at 100 years of nostalgic breakfast cereal boxes and ads.
1924
Kellogg's was first introduced to Australia when machinery specialist Morris Raymer was tasked with setting up a cornflake machine in Sydney.
He started producing 50,000 cases a week from this building in Chippendale in 1924.
1924
This was the very first cereal box corn flakes were sold in.
It lacks the iconic branding we know today but its company font has largely remained the same.
1928
Just four years after the company began producing corn flakes in Australia, demand forced them to open up a new factory in Botany.
Kellogg's still produces corn flakes out of this site to this day.
1930
This print ad was published in 1930, with the slogan "Keep going with Kellogg's".
1960
The cereal boxes didn't go through any major changes until about three decades later.
It was then Cornelius - the iconic corn flakes rooster - first appeared on the packaging.
This is one historic example from 1963.
1962
Coco Pops' slogan "just like a milkshake, only crunchy" first aired on television in 1962.
It has remained a nostalgic and synonymous phrase for the cereal.
1973
Fast forward another several years and Nutri-Grain was born.
It was an original cereal created for the Australian market.
Kellogg's had launched its IronMan and IronWoman series by 1980 to partner with the surfing community, which continues today.
Nutri-Grain is still made in the Botany facility and is only sold in Australia and New Zealand.
1976
Another corn flakes cereal box through the years.
