Boy, 10, injured in south-east Queensland motorbike crash

A 10-year-old boy has been seriously injured after the motorbike he was riding collided with a car on the Mount Lindesay Highway at Gleneagle, west of the Gold Coast, this afternoon.
The boy was airlifted to Brisbane’s Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital with head injuries and multiple fractures after reportedly hitting the windscreen of the car at high-speed.
Early investigations suggest the boy failed to give way to the car.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the accident.
There have been four fatalities in the state so far, with the Christmas road campaign only half way through.
