'Hopefully I made you smile': Young Good Samaritan returns lost wallet with heart-warming letter

A Californian woman says she is touched after a 10-year-old returned her dropped wallet with a hand-written letter explaining his reasons.
Santa Rosa resident Taylor Sloan, 22, said she was attending a motocross event in Oakland on January 31 when she lost her wallet.
"I had my wallet in the back of my pocket and probably just lost it when I sat down in my seat," Ms Sloan told ABC News US.
"I didn't see it was lost until the event was over."
The wallet contained Ms Sloan’s driver licence, a debit card and $US35 ($AU50) in cash.
After cancelling her debit card and applying for a new license, Ms Sloan’s mother called her to say she had received a letter in the mail from a boy named Nasim.
The letter, which was accompanied by the lost wallet, details how the 10-year-old first came by it.
“I found your wallet on the ground at the Super Motocross event in Oakland,” it read.
“I know how it feels to lose something and I wanted to make sure you got your wallet back.
“Hopefully, I have made you smile and you are happy to have your money and ID back.
“I am glad I found it instead of some bad person who would steal from you.
“You look like a very nice person who does nice things for people so I wanted to do something nice for you.
“Plus it’s the honest thing to do.”
Ms Sloan said the letter left her feeling “ecstatic” and described Nasim’s act as “the sweetest thing”.
She shared a snap of the letter with local radio station, Froggy 92.9, which has since posted it to Facebook.
The post has received almost 2000 likes, oodles of praise and even a reply from Nasim’s mother, Karimah White Lawrence.
“Thank you for the kind words about my son. He truly is a loving kid,” Ms Lawrence wrote.
“His father and I try to instil integrity and honesty in all of our children. It feels good to know his natural response was to return what was lost.”
Ms Sloan said she intends on sending her own letter in reply, along with a $US20 ($AU29) reward and a bag of candy.
