A woman in Scotland has been filmed giving mouth to mouth resuscitation to a dead pigeon.

The 16 second clip posted by @Charlismyname last night shows a woman holding the dead bird outside a store in Glasgow, Scotland with her lips firmly planted around its tiny beak.

A person standing next to her doesn't appear surprised by the woman's behaviour and watches as she continued to breath air into it lungs.

After a few breaths she holds the bird's back and begins pressing down on its chest.

Following the micro bout of CPR she holds the bird up expecting it to spring up and fly away. Instead its lifeless neck flops forward.

The video has been retweeted 15,000 times and has garnered thousands of comments from both amused and mortified social media users.

"I was waiting for it to fly away and when it's head flops down haha," one user wrote.

"Hahahaha! Yes, CPR will fix a broken neck, everyone knows that," wrote another.
