Woman loses teeth as bungee jump goes horribly wrong

A woman’s day of high adrenaline activity came to an abrupt end after a botched bungee jump left her without two front teeth.

In the video captured by a friend, the woman, Laura, stands on a thin platform at the edge of a cliff in Madrid, Spain.

Shaking her head in trepidation, Laura seems uneasy as she stares into the chasm before her.

"let's go," says the cameraman as the bungee attendants begin the countdown.

"Three..two..one...go Laura!"

As she shifts her weight forward off the platform it quickly becomes apparent that something is wrong.

A loud rattle can be heard as Laura appears to become snared on something that yanks her back under the platform and face first into the cliff.

A dull clank rings out as Laura’s face meets the rocky cliff quickly followed by a collective wince from the group above.

The video quickly cuts with Laura dangling in pain just feet below.

The accident caused her to knock out a number of her front teeth and inflict considerable bruising to her face.

Fortunately, she was wearing a helmet.
