Wingsuit daredevil flies through 2.5m hole in Swiss Alps

A wingsuited daredevil has made the "most difficult BASE jump ever" by diving through a 2.5m-wide hole in the Swiss Alps.

Wearing a wingsuit and a GoPro, Basejumper Uli Emanuele shot the incredible stunt while flying at incredible speed through the mountain air. The cave is located in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland — one of the most popular places in the world for basejumping.

Emanuele told Geeky Gadgets when he found the hole three years ago said he thought it impossible to pass through but he set his aim and started training to beat it soon after.

"After three years of hard training I was ready for it. I opened two different exits," the 29-year-old Italian said.

"I flew through the hole four times.

"That is the smallest hole ever flown through by anyone."

GoPro said it was "possibly the most technical and difficult BASE jump ever".

Emanuele made the jumps in September last year but only recently released the footage.
