A US weather reporter covering a snowstorm has unwittingly become the star of his own story after being knocked over by a wave of snow kicked up from a passing snow plough.

Steve Keeley was reporting live from the side of the road when a snow plough drove up and blasted him and his cameraman with a thick plume of snow.

After being hit, the picture momentarily goes white, before the camera manages to refocus on Keeley who by now, is back on his feet.

Keeley even managed to have a laugh about the incident on Twitter, writing: "Thanks for all well wishes it just looks like it hurt but it didn't at all so it's cool to have a good laugh on us".

Later, someone claiming to be the real driver over the plough called FOX29's newsroom, where Keeley works, and apologised.
