Waving bear plays catch with sight-seeing visitor

Two friends visiting a wildlife preserve in Washington have a captured a bear’s fantastic catching skills on camera.

Samson Lee, who uploaded the video to YouTube, was filming his friend Kayleigh as they drove through Washington’s Olympic Game Farm when she waved at a Kodiak bear.

After receiving a much-anticipated wave back from the bear, the video shows Kayleigh throwing a piece of bread at the reclining animal, who, despite the bread going way off target, catches it with its paw effortlessly.

Both passengers laugh and get excited by the great catch but had to move on to the next attraction and leave the bear behind.

“Waving Kodiak Bears” became famous after Walt Disney decided to use them in his films. They worked exclusively for Walt Disney Studios for over 30 years until Disney’s death in 1966.
