Video shows San Francisco cops shoot suspected stabber dead

Video has emerged showing a suspected stabber shot dead by multiple San Francisco police officers.

Police said the man had threatened them with a kitchen knife when they confronted him on the side of a Bayview street, according to SF Gate.

Officers said firing beanbag pellets at the man failed to stop him, and he was shot dead when he lunged at officers with a knife.

A video posted to Twitter by a witness was published alongside the hashtag “#BlackLivesMatter” with the plea, “Make this viral!!”.

The footage shows at least five officers surround the man with their guns pointed towards him as he walks erratically near a wall.

The camera lens then turns downwards as multiple shots are fired, and witnesses can be heard screaming, “Oh my god!” repeatedly.

Police said the incident happened after a report the man had stabbed another man in the shoulder earlier in the day.
