Wild shootout in Philadelphia motel caught on camera

Police in the US city of Philadelphia are hunting two gunmen after a wild shootout that was filmed in the hallways of a motel.

On March 31 officers were called to the Roosevelt Motor Inn in Rahwnhurst after reports of gunshots from inside, CBS Philly reports.

An employee told police she heard shots and shortly after an unknown man ran past the front desk carrying a gun before fleeing through the carpark.

Surveillance video from the motel shows two men running through the hallways shooting at each other with handguns.

In the footage one of the gunmen prepares for his pursuer to come around the corner by crouching up against a wall and lying in wait.

But instead of bounding around the corner, the other shooter aims his firearm around the corner and squeezes the trigger, missing his adversary by centimetres.

Amazingly, no-one was injured during the gunfight.
