Soldiers race to help driver trapped after truck fire on freeway in Los Angeles

There’s been a dramatic rescue in Los Angeles after a large truck carrying cement collided with a car and overturned on the busy 405 freeway on Monday afternoon.
The sedan was crushed underneath the truck as a fire broke out.
National guardsmen who happened to be passing by helped pull the driver of the Mitsubishi Eclipse from the wreckage, while the truck driver was able to get himself out just before the flames took hold.

Several other drivers also stopped to try to put out the fire and clear the debris.
Three people were taken to hospital, 2 in a critical condition.
