Teens who fought teacher in class arrested

Two high school students filmed brawling with a science teacher in their California classroom have been arrested.

One of the teens, an unidentified 18-year-old male, was found on the Santa Monica school grounds carrying a box cutter and a bag of marijuana.

A 16-year-old was also apprehended in relation to the run-in and could face charges of battery against a school employee.

The pair are yet to be formally charged.

The April 4 altercation made world headlines after footage filmed by a student was posted to YouTube.

The teacher involved in the incident, Mark Black, who is also the school's wrestling coach, was suspended pending an investigation.

It is believed the student punched Black, setting off the wrestling match, after he tried to confiscate drugs from the teen.
