Teen thieves steal phone then accidentally send video to owner

A pair of US thieves who stole a woman's phone have had their faces plastered over the internet after they accidentally uploaded a video to the victim.

"This just keeps getting better," Bianca Dabi from Dallas, Texas wrote on Facebook after receiving photos and a video of the pair using her phone.

"The culprits actually took video and pics on the stolen phone, which went to iCloud. I like the ones with the cash. Sure they didn't earn that either. These kids prey around uptown claiming they need donations for their high school basketball."

In the video a man and woman stare down the phone's camera and sing while unaware their faces and antics are being uploaded to the device's owner's account.

Dabi reported the incident to police after her phone was stolen outside an ATM.

After reviewing the footage, she discovered the culprits were the same two people who had asked her for donation for their school earlier in the day.

"I admittedly just wanted to share my disgruntlement, and share a laugh at how idiotic it was to take pics on a stolen phone. With everyone's shares and post I was able to provide good leads and persons of interest in my police report," she wrote on Facebook.
