Five dead in Southern California plane crash

A light plane has crashed into a car park in Southern California, killing five people.

The aircraft went down in in Santa Ana on Sunday afternoon, with authorities saying there were no survivors on board.

The plane crushed a car in the crash, but fortunately there was no one inside the vehicle at the time.

Footage from the scene shows the wreckage of a twin-engine Cessna.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the pilot issued an emergency call before going down near the John Wayne Airport in Orange County.
