One dead, three injured in shooting attack near Boston high school

A teenager has been killed and three others injured after a shooting near a Boston high school.

The offender remains on the run after the attack near the Jeremiah Burke High School in Dorchester, The Boston Globe reported.

The teen killed, who was 17, and two others injured were students, with the fourth victim a woman aged in her 60s whose leg was grazed by a bullet.

Boston police commissioner William Evans told reporters it was too early to tell whether the violence was gang-related.

"We don't know if it was a fight that was spilled out," he said.

"Kids don't fight anymore with their hands, they run and get weapons."
