Obama asks for Game of Thrones sneak peek

If you were the President of the United States, you might already be watching new instalments of Game of Thrones.

President Obama approached the CEO of US pay TV network HBO, Richard Plepler, at a recent state dinner and asked for advance episodes from the fantasy drama's highly anticipated fourth season.

Obama reportedly intended to binge on Game of Thrones while chilling out on the Presidents Day long weekend, according to the New York Times.

Everyone who's not the leader of the free world will have to wait until early April for the new episodes.

The president also asked Plepler for episodes of the new crime drama True Detective, starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.

Other TV shows Obama has confessed to being addicted to House of Cards, Homeland and Breaking Bad — which he forbade his staff from talking about so they wouldn't spoil any plot points.
