In a bizarre stroke of luck a US football's teams decision to relocate could prove lucrative for a serendipitously named Silicon Valley communications director.

Since 2008 GoPro director of communications Lara M. Sasken has been tweeting under the handle @LaraMS.

The handle would have been largely worthless until yesterday when the NFL's St. Louis Rams announced they were relocating to Los Angeles.

News of the soon-to-be LA Rams led curious internet users to seek out the team's social media presence and they soon discovered that the @LARams hash tag was owned by Ms Sasken.

Twitter handles are not case sensitive so the GoPro employee could be in for a big payday if the football team want the most logical handle to reflect their new hometown.

In the wake of the announcement Ms Sasken's Twitter feed was flooded with football fans' comments, discussing the move and using the @LARams handle, unaware their comments were going to the Silicon Valley worker.

Ms Sasken's couldn't ignore the sudden attention and made light of the coincidence.

"You mean it's not because of my poetic tweets, charming personality and witty comebacks?" Ms Sasken replied.
