When real estate millionaire dad Maurice Laboz died earlier this year he left his two daughters millions of dollars – but there’s a catch.

Marlena, 21, and Victoria, 17, are set to receive US$13 million (A$17.9million) each from their father’s estate but only if they comply with his strict conditions from beyond the grave.

Marlena will inherit US$1 million (A$1.4million) when she graduates, but she must attend one of Mr Laboz’s pre-approved “accredited” universities.

She must also write “100 words or less describing what she intends to do with the funds”.

The trustee for the funds is to approve the essay.

To motivate his daughters to work hard and earn large salaries Mr Laboz has organised an annual payment of three times the income listed on their personal federal tax return each year after 2020.

If they decide not to work and have children the trustees will give each girl three per cent of the value of their trust annually, but only if the child is born in wedlock.

They will get the same payout if they choose to be the carer of their mother, Ewa Laboz, 58, whom Mr Laboz was in the process of divorcing at the time of his death.

Mrs Laboz was not left any money.

She filed court papers last month to contest her exclusion from the will.

Mr Laboz justified leaving his wife out of the will citing a “prenuptial agreement, which limits her rights”.

As she was still married to the millionaire at the time of his death, Mrs Laboz claims she deserves a payout.

Mr Laboz left behind $50 million, and what he has not left to his daughters he has donated to charities, including The Michael J Fox Foundations for Parkinson’s Research.
