- Gunman Stephen Paddock, 64, armed with at least 10 rifles, fires into a crowd of 22,000 concertgoers from his 32nd floor room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

- The attack results in at least 59 people dead and 527 wounded.

- "We got shots fired!" - a Las Vegas police officer radios for help, saying "it sounded like an automatic firearm".

- "Active shooting from Mandalay Bay. Possible 3 shooters." - An alert flashes across the screens of taxis outside the casino.

- Police order people to take cover inside the Mandalay Bay.
