Glee actress' boyfriend found dead in hotel

Glee star Becca Tobin's boyfriend Matt Bendik has been found dead in a Philadelphia hotel room just days before the first anniversary of Cory Monteith's death.

The 35-year-old nightclub owner's body was found by a hotel maid on Thursday.

While the cause of death is not yet known, TMZ reports there are questions surrounding Los Angeles man's death.

Bendik was reportedly in Philadelphia on a business trip at the time and it is understood Tobin was travelling with him.

The couple were out on Wednesday night with friends and the website reports that everything seemed normal before they returned to their hotel at some point in the night.

Mr Bendik's body was discovered on Thursday afternoon local time and it is unclear where the Glee actress was at the time.

The death comes only days before the anniversary of Cory Monteith's death, who died in a Vancouver hotel room from a drug overdose one year ago this Sunday.

Despite his affiliation with several US nightclubs, TMZ also reports that Mr Bendik was not a known partier.
