Female bosses sued for sexual harassment

A male employee of a New York public relations firm was fired after he complained about too much hands-on instruction from two female superiors, according to court documents.

Joseph Jackson, 41, has claimed in a sexual harassment lawsuit that he was subjected to almost seven months of inappropriate contact by two female supervisors at Open Communications.

He said the unwanted advances included having his abs touched, arms massaged, his neck kissed and once receiving a text message asking for a "bang sesh".

Mr Jackson filed the suit this week after being sacked on February 21 after formally complaining about the alleged behaviour of Sally O'Dowd and Katie Campisano, New York Daily News reports.

At Ms O'Dowd's staff birthday party in August, she allegedly hugged Mr Jackson three times and whispered in his ear, "you are so handsome. You are so awesome ... You are so talented," before kissing him on the back of the neck.

It was attention that left Mr Jackson "distraught", he told the court.

Ms O'Dowd's allegedly inappropriate behaviour continued, including comparing Mr Jackson to her "hot lover Apollo" and asking him to touch her abdomen after she had been exercising.

In the same period, he was also allegedly the subject of uninvited sexual attention from Ms Campisano, who is accused of sending him text messages including: "You may be easier to bang when we're not co-workers."

When the company was working with a condom client, Ms Campisano allegedly tested one on a banana and remarked that "it probably wouldn't fit Joseph", the lawsuit says.

Mr Jackson, who worked as an executive assistant to the CEO, said he reported the incidences to his boss but they were dismissed with a shrug of his shoulders.

The lawyer representing the company and its employees said they would fight the lawsuit.
