Elephant spotted frolicking in ocean

It's not every day you get to see an elephant – especially one frolicking in the ocean.

Beachgoers in Pinellas County in Florida were left scratching their heads after spotting the creature in question splashing about.

Todd Unbehagen was taking a stroll with his family on the weekend when he saw the carefree beast and decided to film the anomaly.

Locals soon began to gather around to take in the rare sight and speculate just how the elephant made its way into the water.

After uploading the video to his Facebook page, Mr Unbehagen offered this explanation: "We were walking down the beach, and someone had a private party at their beach house with an elephant. So, we stopped for a while to take pictures. You don't see this every day!!!"

No, you certainly don't.
