Woman among three dead after shooting at Colorado Walmart store

A woman injured in a shooting at a Colorado has died, bringing to death toll to three people.

Police in Thornton, Colorado, announced that a woman injured in the shooting on Wednesday 6.30pm (local time) died in hospital after suffering injuries.

Two men died at the scene of the incident earlier.

Authorities confirmed that no one is in custody following the shooting.

Officers are currently reviewing CCTV, and more than 48 witnesses have been take to the local police station for questioning, authorities tweeted.

A Walmart employee told FOX31 Denver he heard “at least five or six shots.”

“I started to hear a lot of pops. ‘Pop, pop, pop’. Everyone got down, everyone was screaming,” the staffer said.

Police declared there is now longer an active shooter situation, but investigations are ongoing.
