A convicted child pornographer is suing Taylor Swift for $126 million for allegedly stealing his life story but said he will drop the lawsuit if the pop star can hook him up with Miley Cyrus.

In a handwritten lawsuit Jose Hilario, 35, claims that in January 2008, just after Swift had turned 18, she emailed him and requested a Skype meeting because "she was lonely and sad and that she needed someone to chat with".

According to Hilario, the friendship blossomed and in April that year they met at a Rhode Island shopping centre where they "hugged and kissed each other".

At the meeting Swift allegedly promised to help Hilario "with his legal problems and that she would write and sing songs about him," the lawsuit reads.

"But the defendant did not keep her promise of giving legal help."

Days later Hilario was arrested for possessing child pornography.

He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to remain in a Louisiana jail until May 2019.

During his incarceration Hilario said he realised Swift's new album '1989' was about him.

"Swift should now help get him out of his "deep trouble" by financing his "legal causes," Hilario's lawsuit says.

"I know for a fact that the defendant have (sic) a good heart and that she will come back to her senses and not forget her promise that she made to me."

Hilario is seeking $126 million from Swift but the singer does have a cheaper option. The felon says he will drop the suit if Swift restores their "true friendship" and introduces him to Miley Cyrus.
