A betrayed boyfriend has taken revenge on his partner by setting up a Valentine's Day surprise only to reveal that he was aware of her infidelity.

American YouTube user Kyle Boggess posted the video online on Valentine's Day that starts with him leading his blindfolded girlfriend up a set of stairs.

He then sits her down on a couch, hands her a sheet of paper and tells her to remove the blindfold.

"That's you cheating on me!" he shouts as the woman looks at a print out of screenshots of her agreeing to go on a date with a man named 'Plenty of Fish', which was an account set-up by her boyfriend.

"So get the f--k out my house right now! I'm glad you drove an hour for no f--king reason. And this is going on YouTube sweetheart."

True to his word the footage was posted online and has since been covered by a number of news websites around the world.

The authenticity of the footage has not been verified and it is unclear if actors were used.
