Bride sues over 'Seinfeld' wedding video

A US bride is suing her wedding videographer to the sum of $50,000 for making her wedding seem "like an episode of Seinfeld".

Monica Nikchemny, 26, and Felix Komrash, 33, employed the services of Brooklyn-based company Visualaz to film their big day in September 2012.

Speaking through her lawyer Mikhail Usher on Wednesday, the bride said she received a satisfactory wedding trailer (watch above) one month after the event.

But when the finished product arrived one year later, she was brought to tears and "almost had a nervous breakdown".

Ms Nikchemny described the full video as literally "the worst thing in the world" and "cheesy", and claimed the company ruined her special day by adding mismatched sound effects and fake applause.

"When I watched my wedding video it really sounded like I was watching an episode of 'Seinfeld," she said, adding film crews had missed crucial parts of the ceremony.

"These memories, I'll never be able to get back again."

Ms Nikchemny was also pregnant at the time of receiving the video and the stress caused her blood sugar to spike to a dangerous level, the suit claimed.

She said the trailer approved a month after her wedding didn't represent the actual video and was suing the company for the price she paid for the video plus "punitive damages".

Visualaz was not available for comment.
