A UK man has given what is being dubbed 'the world's best' best man speech at his friend’s wedding – all without saying a word.

Danny McKenzie began his speech by telling the wedding reception crowd he'd forgotten his speech, hastily shouting "I'll be back in 10 minutes," before running out the door.

As soon as he steps outside a pre-recorded video appears on an overhead screen “showing” his frantic efforts to run more than 11km home to retrieve his speech.

Mr McKenzie can be seen sprinting through a sheep paddock, attempting to hitchhike with a man who has a kidnapped hostage in the backseat, vomiting in a garden and hijacking a boat before he finally reaches his house.

Grabbing his speech and a football jersey to replace his sweaty shirt, the best man makes his long journey back to the reception hall, running through the doors in real-time as guests give him a standing ovation.

The groom, Jamie Milligan can be seen laughing hysterically, clearly impressed by the efforts his friend went to in putting together the best, best man speech.

Mr McKenzie's video took five days to produce with the help of his brother.
