'Top secret' UFO briefings revealed at Pentagon
A Freedom of Information request in the US has revealed that the Pentagon is holding Top-Secret classified briefings about a widely-reported UFO encounter.
The US Department of Defence is also in possession of a video of the same incident, Vice has reported.
The FOI request was originally filed by researcher Christian Lambright.

In a response - verified by Vice - the US Navy admitted to the existence of both briefing slides and video relating to the 2004 encounter between the USS Nimitz and UFOs.
The Navy said the release of the briefing slides "would cause exceptionally grave damage to the National Security of the United States".
Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough told Vice the date of the video was November 14, 2004.

She said the investigation of UAP ("unidentified aerial phenomena") was ongoing, but individual sightings would not be commented on.
In 2004, F/A-18F fighters deployed from the USS Nimitz, a supercarrier warship, captured footage of their encounter with the UFOs, which appeared to be oblong-shaped and capable of rapid movement.
