Commuters fall through train platform sinkhole

Two people have been injured after falling three metres into a sinkhole in South Korea.

Surveillance footage posted online yesterday shows the man and woman get off a train together.

Just metres away a patch of tiles can be seen looking slightly out of place compared to the rest of the platform.

As the pair walks over the patch, the section of floor gives and both are swallowed whole – their attempts to hold on proving futile as the sinkhole's sides crumble away further.

Another couple watch on in shock after narrowly avoiding the fall.

Local media reports the victims suffered injuries in the incident although it is not clear what those injuries were.
