Tuna swallows seagull and spits it back out again

In a case of karma teaching a wise lesson, a seagull that tried to pinch a tuna fish’s snack was stopped in its tracks when the tuna instead swallowed it whole.

The tuna was being fed sardines at a jetty near Girona in Spain when the seagull swooped to claim a piece of the action, according to the Daily Mail.

The tuna can be seen swallowing the bird and momentarily taking it beneath the surface before it decides the taste is not worth its time.

The fish then releases the bird. Lucky to have dodged death, it flies away.

The video was captured by a passer-by who had stopped to watch the tuna’s feeding time with his family.

“A seagull came in faster than the tuna and took [the sardine],” he told the Daily Mail. “But then the tuna ate the seagull and sank… Me and everyone else watching had a good laugh.”
