Toy gun prankster shoots London police in online stunt

Video has emerged online of a prankster tempting fate and the resolve of authorities in London by running around and shooting them with a Nerf toy gun.

The online prank site, Trollstation, released footage of the man trying to "troll" police around the centre of the English capital with the toy.

While cruising around a heavily populated city armed with a gun - even if it is a fake one - probably isn't the smartest idea, the police officers seemed to take it lightly.

In the video the prankster addresses the camera to make his intentions clear, before asking a group of heavily armed cops if he would get in trouble for shooting them.

He can then be seen antagonising another officer in the Tube station, who follows the prankster on foot after he cocked the "weapon" in his face.

The perpetrator took his brazen stunt up a notch by actually shooting a couple of officers with the pellets, who promptly give him a stern but good-natured lecture.

More than one policeman can be heard telling the man that while they have a sense of humour, his particular brand of comedy isn't exactly appreciated.
