Parallel parking world record set by Chinese driver

To describe the park as a "tight squeeze" would be a gross understatement.

Stunt driver Han Yue has regained the Guinness World Record for the tightest parallel park by sliding a Mini hatch into a space only 8cm longer than the car.

Yue pulled off the incredible parking job at the China Drift Championship in Congqing last Friday.

Footage released by Guinness shows him accelerating in a curve towards the space before activating the handbrake at the last moment and spinning the wheel to perform a hard, 90-degree skidding turn.

The so-called power drift manoeuvre sees the Mini swing perfectly into position.

Han's feat shaved 0.6cm off the previous record set by British driver Alastair Moffat last year.
