Thugs attack Pussy Riot members at McDonald's

Two members of the Russian feminist group Pussy Riot have been filmed being attacked by a group of thugs at a McDonald's.

Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina were eating breakfast yesterday when they were set upon, the Moscow Times reports.

A group of five men threw metal objects at the pair, who attracted worldwide attention when they were jailed for a protest held in a Moscow cathedral.

Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina suffered eye injuries after antiseptic and pepper spray was thrown into their faces, while Alyokhina sustained a cut to her forehead.

The men, dressed in parkas, threaten the women with sexual violence and demand they leave the city of Nizhny Novgorod.

"Get out of town, f---ing whores," one of the men shouts.

"Go to America!"

The pair were in Russia's fifth largest city to launch a legal protest over labour exploitation in a prison camp.

They have now filed a report with police.

Last month Cossack militiamen whipped Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina during an impromptu performance at the Sochi Olympics.
