The mirror transforming the change-room experience

Retailers in the US are trialing a new mirror that records a 360 degree view of each outfit and allows customers to try on different colours without heading back to the change room.

The “Memory Mirror” remembers each customer’s clothing selection, height, weight and gender and is being tested in upscale US stores.

Customers can compare each outfit to other shopping selections and even send outfit selections to a friend for a second opinion.

Shoppers are also able to see what different colours would look like without having to try on another outfit.

With 85 percent of customers estimated to leave the dressing room without buying anything, the “Memory Mirror” allows retailers to collect more information than ever before on their customers and their preferences.
