Terrified Iraqis secretly film incoming ISIL convoy

An Iraqi civilian has captured the terror felt by large swathes of the population as he secretly filmed a convoy of ISIL fighters passing metres from a home he was in.

The video was posted on LiveLeak by Kurdish-Girl91 today with the incident was said to have occurred yesterday.

The footage starts with far away vehicles throwing up large plumes of dust as men filming from inside a house ask themselves who they might be.

In a panic one of the men urges the others to turn the lights off so the man recording the convoy's advance cannot be seen.

As the vehicles close in the group start to panic as they recognise the distinctive black flag flying atop the armoured convoy's vehicles.

When the fleet of Hummers, armoured vehicles and utes come within metres of the house one of the men says that he can hear them chanting "Allahu Akhbar" or "God is Great" and the video ends abruptly.

"God were on the civilians (sic) side this day," Kurdish-Girl91 wrote.

"ISIS were meters away but did not notice anything."
