Great white sharks breach like whales in stunning video

Incredible footage of a great white shark breaching the waters off South Africa's coast has emerged online.

The video, which was posted to YouTube yesterday, contains both never before-seen and archival vision of what looks to be an adult shark propelling itself high above the water in pursuit of a seal.

In the more than two minute video, the large shark shows stunning agility as it flips and twists in False Bay, Cape Town.

However what the shark thinks will become his next meal is in fact a decoy seal used by filmmaker, Mark van Coller.

Mr van Coller captured the amazing footage over a number of weeks by towing the decoy seal for around 20 metres behind his boat.
