Student allegedly fires stun gun at teacher

A high school girl in Alabama is facing assault charges after allegedly firing a stun gun at her teacher.

Video of the altercation, at Mary G. Montgomery High School on Thursday, shows a male teacher grappling with the girl, the Associated Press reports.

A zapping sound can be heard before the girl runs off.

Mobile County sheriff’s officials say the girl was trying to fight another female student when the teacher stepped in to break up the dispute.

The girl was arrested and taken to a youth detention centre.

She has been charged with felony assault over her attack on the teacher; and misdemeanor assault for hitting the other girl in the face, AI.com reports.
