Man arrested after 'friend's severed head' found in bin in Spain

A severed head has been found in a bin in Spain, after a man was allegedly seen carrying a plastic bag of human remains.

Police arrested the man after he was seen dumping the head in a recycling bin in the city of Huelva, local media reported.

Witnesses say the man showed the head to some people, including children, who thought it was a Halloween joke.

A body was allegedly found at the arrested man's flat later that night.

It is reported to be a friend of the 50-year-old.

Police were later seen examining the area where the head was found.

The city is close to the Portuguese border.
