SpaceX launch: Where you can watch lift-off of historic space mission

Elon Musk's SpaceX company and NASA are set to make space history tomorrow morning when they launch two astronauts into space.

Lift-off is scheduled for 6.33am AEST from Florida's Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.

You can watch the launch from Cape Canaveral in Florida at 6.30am AEST on Thursday on Channel 9 and 9news.com.au.

If successful, it would be the first manned flight since the billionaire founded the company 18 years ago.

And it would also revive NASA's ability to launch its astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS).

Since the US space agency ended its Shuttle program in 2011, it has had to rely on Russia for getting its astronauts into orbit.

If bad weather or technical issues get in the way, NASA has May 30 and May 31 down as backup days.
