Snowboarder drags skier down slope

This is the awkward moment a learner snowboarder in the US dragged a skier 200 metres downhill after bumping into them on the slopes.

Footage of the mishap posted online on Friday shows the snowboarder slip up while navigating the Horseshoe Bowl at Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado, sending him into an uncontrollable slide.

A few seconds later, he takes out the skier whose back was turned and caught off guard.

Tangled together, the pair are rendered powerless and with their combined weight, quickly garner speed.

"Are you ok," the embarrassed snowboarder asks the skier as they begin to slide faster.  

According to the caption, they reached speeds of 50km/h until finally coming to a stop at the bottom of the bowl.

It is understood the only injury suffered was to the snowboarder's pride.
