Snoop Dogg releases new animal documentary series 'Planet Snoop'

Rapper Snoop Dogg has staked a claim to take over from David Attenborough by debuting a new YouTube series where he narrates animal fights.

Titled Planet Snoop, in the video a joint-smoking Snoop commentates as a squirrel takes on a snake, saying the snake was "going to whoop the squirrel's ass".

But the squirrel then pulls over an unlikely win, biting at the snake's long body as it slithers away.

"I ain't ever seen s—t like this," he says.

Planet Snoop premiered on Merry Jane, Snoop Dogg's website, which is "dedicated to expressing a new cannabis mentality".

The clip, the first of a new series, comes after a change.org petition emerged demanding "Snoop Dogg narrate the whole season of Planet Earth".

Last month the rapper narrated the parody nature documentary Plizzanet Earth on talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live to widespread internet acclaim.
