Single dad uses Instagram to inspire young men to be good parents

A father from Texas has created an Instagram account to show the beautiful dedicated relationship he has with his four-year-old daughter.

Michael Worthington, 29, lives in Dallas with his daughter Asia and the duo use their Instagram account @icemikeloveasia to inspire other fathers to be more involved in their daughter’s lives.

The account is followed by almost 600,000 people and shows pictures and videos of the pair dancing, cooking and of Mr Worthington braiding Asia’s hair.

Mr Worthington has been using social media since Asia was only a little baby to document their relationship.

“It developed over the years, me being around and active, staying loyal to fatherhood and I try my best to make a difference in her life,” he said in a video.

He said that young men have started messaging him to say they want to be fathers like him.

“I say stay in school, be positive.”
