Siberian boy, 4, dies after sleepwalking in -20c night

A four-year-old Siberian boy froze to death after sleepwalking in -20C cold.
His mother Maria, 27, found her son’s body after tracking his tiny footprints in the deep snow, reports The Siberian Times.
The boy, called Bogdan, had headed to a neighbour’s house wearing only thin pyjamas and barefoot as the mercury plummeted to -20C.
His mum woke at 6am and was unable to find him.
She searched the area around her home in the village of Yaga until she found his body on a neighbour’s balcony.
The child had previously sleepwalked during the balmy Siberian summer but had no chance of surviving the bitter cold.
Russian authorities in the Krasnoyarsk region of Siberia have launched an investigation into the tragedy.
Russia has endured extreme cold this week as the country experiences the Arctic cold snap enveloping much of Europe.
The country’s weather service warned of "abnormally cold" temperatures this week dropping as low as -35C in some parts.
