Scot twin knew brother was dead before police arrived

The identical twin brother of a nine-year-old boy killed in a car accident in Scotland warned his mother he was in danger before police arrived to break the news.

Sionaid Brown said her son Logan was out playing with friends in the town of Glenrothes when he was hit by a car during rush hour on Tuesday afternoon.

"I knew that Logan was going to see some friends. I said, as always, to make sure he was back before dark," Mrs Brown told The Daily Record.

"Later, (Logan's twin brother) Zachary actually came up to me and said 'Mum, you need to go find Logan'.

"He knew before anybody else knew. They were so close. They shared a cot in the hospital. They shared a cot at home.

"They’ve never been apart. When Logan was in hospital for two nights, not one of the two of them slept." Robert Brown, Logan's grandfather, said he was never able to tell the identical twins apart.

"If they were standing in front of me right now, and I wish they were, I'd still not be able to tell you which were which," Mr Brown said.

"I know twins are always close but these two had a bond that just couldn't be broken."

Glenrothes police are still searching for the driver of the car.
