Two people have been charged with murder after an 18-year-old woman's body was found dumped in the woods with a single gunshot wound to the head.
Samantha Guthrie's body was found on Saturday not far from a road that borders a thick wooded, industrial area in New Franklin, Ohio, almost three weeks after she was reported missing.
Four people believed to have been with Ms Guthrie on the day she disapperaed have been arrested.
Danny Hamby, 39, and Toni Kenny, 31, have both been charged with murder, The Repository reported.
“Detectives are not naming which one, Danny Hamby or Toni Kenney, actually fired the shot that killed Samantha Guthrie,” Akron Police Lieutenant Rick Edwards said.
William Eugene Alexander, 38, and Dylan Brown, 19, were arrested on suspicion of tampering with evidence and obstructing justice.
They, along with Kenney, reportedly told police Ms Guthrie was shot at a house in downtown Akron on November 4 before they put her body in a car trunk.
Hamby and Alexander then allegedly disposed of the body in the woods.
