Russian TV accused of hiring actress to oppose revolution

A blonde woman has allegedly been hired by Russian television makers to pose as different women opposed to the Ukraine revolution.

The woman appeared on a news broadcast as a housewife in Odessa in southern Ukraine saying she was terrified of "pro-fascist" politicians who came to power last month, the Daily Mail reports.

But social media users said the housewife closely resembled other women who had been interviewed, including a soldier's mother on the barricades in Kiev.

The woman, believed to be her 40s, also appeared in protests in Crimea and Russia and is a 'well known guest actress', Ukrainian media outlets claim.

She reportedly appeared on a LifeNews website broadcast last night as Tatiana Samoilenko, a mother of three who was forced to flee Ukraine with her Russian husband. 

"When those pro-fascist politicians got power, we did not think for long. We decided to go to Russia. We quickly understood we had no time to waste, or it could get worse," she was quoted saying.

Her regular appeals for Russian help have led to claims she is a warrior in President Vladimir Putin's propaganda army.
