Video shows Ukrainians singing national anthem while hiding in bomb shelter

Video footage has shown Ukrainian civilians singing their national anthem while sheltering in an underground bunker.

In a video captured by an American journalist and shared on social media, the Ukrainians in the shelter begin singing their national anthem.

A child sits in her mother's lap wiping away tears, as the chorus echoes through the shelter, even as the battle for the country rages above ground.

Russian forces are currently attempting to take Ukraine's city of Kyiv.

But Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has vowed he will not stop fighting for his country.

Mr Zelenskyy has refused an offer from the US Government to be evacuated from the capital, saying he needs anti-tank ammunition, 'not a ride'.
