First official photos of Prince Louis released by royal family

The first official photos of Prince Louis at home with his doting sister Princess Charlotte have been released by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

One photo shows the newest addition to the royal family looking at the sunlight at Kensington Palace while dressed in a white knitted jumper and pants.

The photo was taken by his mother Kate Middleton when he was just three days old on Wednesday.

A second photo shows Prince Louis’ big sister kissing him gently on his head.

It was Princess Charlotte’s third birthday on the day.

When releasing the two gorgeous photos this morning, Prince William and Kate have thanked the public “for all of the kind messages” they have received following the birth of Prince Louis on April 23 and for Princess Charlotte's birthday.

No photos of Prince George with his younger brother have been released yet.
